I am a tenacious and focused leader with an unwavering commitment to resilience and growth, though my journey has been anything but straightforward. Overcoming challenges has defined my path, from dropping out of high school three times to confronting homelessness. These experiences forged my relentless drive to inspire others to reach their full potential and embrace resilience, no matter the odds. Adversity continued to shape me, as I faced stage 4 cancer in 2011, endured the loss of my son in 2013, and grieved my mother's passing in 2022, both from suicide. Despite these trials, I found strength in competitive basketball, which taught me humility, coachability, and the inner reserve to persevere. My 25-year publishing career began with the influence of my father’s reporting and led to leadership as a regional publisher, managing 33 award-winning teams and newspapers across multiple states. In 2018, I transitioned to serving as CEO of Alamo Fireworks, one of Texas’s largest fireworks companies, earning accolades like Best Places to Work and Fastest Growing Business awards. Leadership, for me, is grounded in vision, accountability, and fostering growth in others. Utilizing tools like Vistage, Culture Index, and EOS with Bloom Growth, I empower CEOs and leaders to achieve sustainable success. As a Vistage Chair, Master Advisor for Culture Index, and Bloom Growth Coach, I help others overcome challenges and achieve their own “winning” lives through proven, tailored strategies.
