Sascha Badelt
By my early forties I had built three companies in fifteen years. I had 150 employees, €20 million in revenue and an office overlooking Madrid. And I felt trapped. The business was running me. Every day was a reaction to the next fire, and when I pictured the future I felt fear, not excitement. I hired experienced senior managers to bring order to the chaos. What I was really missing wasn’t talent. It was clarity, and a system that made everyone row in the same direction.
So I made the hardest decision of my career and stepped back. I closed parts of the business, sold others and handed the rest to partners. Then I set out to understand what I’d been missing, and to make sure other founders didn’t pay the same price.
Over the past seven years I’ve worked with more than 300 founders. I also built and led an accelerator program in Madrid that helps companies make the leap from startup to scale-up by implementing a business operating system. What I learned is simple: growth doesn’t have to hurt. A clear vision, a shared roadmap, the right people in the right seats and a leadership team that trusts each other let a company grow and give its founder their life back.
I’m also President of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Madrid chapter, where peers build relationships of trust and grow together as entrepreneurs, leaders and people.
I work with founder-led companies with €5–20M in revenue. Some are growing so fast the wheels are coming off. Others are stuck and want to grow faster. Maybe you want to scale, raise the value of your company, prepare for an exit or simply stop being the bottleneck. Either way, let’s use the Bloom Growth OS to build a business that runs without running you. I coach in English, Spanish and German.
